Online Payment Processing: Improve Your Payment Platform

Online Payment Processing: Let’s learn effective payment solutions!

Welcome back to the eCommerce forum!

Online payment processing deals with taking credit cards on the Internet. Furthermore, online purchases are managed by third party businesses called payment gateways. Smooth online payment processing is vital for online businesses. We have two amazing speakers for our upcoming Magento/eCommerce Meetup. They will discuss payment solutions for eCommerce sites. This event is at 7:00 p.m., September 10, 2014 at our Midtown loft in New York. Here is a brief overview of what to expect:

Thomas Waters

Director of Sales, Bank Associates Merchant Services

Bank Associates Merchant Services or BAMS for short, has a firm understanding of online payment processing. They are a global payment provider that offers electronic transaction processing services.  BAMS’ team of specialists help companies grow. More specifically, they make the best of a merchant’s payment options to ensure an increase in their income.

Thomas Waters is Director of sales at BAMS. He has helped many CEOs, CTOs and CFOs organize their payment systems, increase cash flow and reduce expenses. Additionally, Tom helped a startup payments firm gain over one billion dollars in annual transaction volume. This feat gave the company Inc 5000 status in 2014. In his spare time, Tom co-authors a bi-weekly column about eCommerce. The following are some of the column’s topics:

  • – eCommerce
  • – startup development
  • – sales tactics
  • – technology disruptors.

Tom will be discussing how we can improve online payment on eCommerce sites. More specifically, he will talk about payment aggregators versus traditional credit card processors. Tom will also discuss online payment fraud reduction.
